Market scanning, before the open
153 candidates screened. Five names flagged. Each with the reason it moved.
Set your gap, relative-volume and float thresholds once. Every weekday, thirty minutes before the bell, Openbell sweeps StockAnalysis, Finviz and Yahoo Finance, scores every candidate against your numbers, and puts the survivors on your dashboard — catalyst note attached.

What you receive
One tape: five flags, their volume, their catalyst.
An actual weekday run: 153 candidates scored against the thresholds, five past the bar.
Screeners swept every run
Thresholds enforced
How it works
From three screeners to five names, unattended.
Gap percentage, relative-volume multiple, float ceiling. Saved to your plan and used on every run after that — you never re-key it.
Thirty minutes ahead of the open, StockAnalysis, Finviz and Yahoo Finance are pulled and every candidate — 153 of them on Aug 27 — is scored against your numbers.
Whatever clears lands on your dashboard with its gap, its relative volume and its catalyst, above the coverage stats behind the cut.
Inside every delivery
Three things a screener tab won't give you.
Every flag carries why it moved — a clearance, an earnings beat, a CFO departure filing. The names with nothing behind them are the ones you can drop first.
No discretion and no favorites. The same gap, volume and float rules run every weekday, whether the tape is interesting or dead.
Each run publishes its own denominator: 153 candidates in, 5 flags out, a 3% flag rate. You always know how much was looked at.
Who's behind this
Built by a trader, not a signal seller.
Running systematic pre-market scans every weekday since 2025.
I used to burn the first ninety minutes of every day rebuilding the same three screener tabs and then guessing why anything had moved. Openbell runs my exact criteria while I'm asleep, and the catalyst note is the part I'd actually pay for. There are no picks in here and no alerts to chase — just the morning's outliers and what happened to them.

FAQ
The three fair objections.
Is this investment advice?
No. Openbell reports market data and public catalysts against criteria you set yourself. It never sizes a position, never says buy or sell, and has no opinion on any name it flags. What you do with a flag is entirely your decision.
Why not just run a free screener myself?
A screener hands you a filtered table and leaves you to explain every row. Openbell hands you each flag with its catalyst already attached — FDA clearance, earnings beat, CFO departure filing — plus the count of what was screened to get there. And because the thresholds are fixed, this morning's list is directly comparable to last Thursday's.
What happens on a quiet morning?
You get a short list, and the candidates-scanned number so you can tell the difference between a calm tape and a broken scan. The week of Aug 21–27 ran between three and seven flags a day. The run completes before the open either way, and your dashboard updates the moment it does.
Your first scan is a full scan.
One free run of Openbell: the same three screeners, the same catalyst notes, the same coverage stats a paying desk gets tomorrow morning.
